Stakeholders from Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) have endorsed the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for another term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rising from a meeting initiated by the Governor of the State, Babajide Sanwo-olu, leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress unanimously endorsed the second term bid of the President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Governor said that \u201ceveryone that matters in Lagos agree that President Tinubu deserves a second term.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll of the representatives of the stakeholders have come to a conclusion that President Tinubu should present himself to the general house for him to return as our President,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A motion to adopt the President as the only candidate was thereafter moved by a prominent traditional ruler in the State, Oba Kabir Shotobi and seconded by the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudasiru Obasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn behalf of traditional rulers in Lagos, I, Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, we in Lagos endorse President Tinubu to go for a second term,\u201d Shotobi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also speaking at the event, former Governor of Lagos, Babatunde Raji Fashola called for a more inclusive party structure that will give young party members more opportunities and roles to play for the advancement of the party\u2019s fortunes in future elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
